About
A very unique, meaningful and inspiring architectural feature of downtown Hopewell is the Hopewell Regional Library (Maude Langhorne Nelson Library), the headquarters of the Appomattox Regional Library System. A $7.9 million, 36,000-square-foot construction project incorporates uniquely designed features such as a replica of the historic, 1600s-era frigate ship, Hopewell, installed as a centerpiece within the Library. The children’s area features a reading mezzanine, teen area, imaginative industrial smokestack skylights and a cyber café.
For more information about the Library, see the Appomattox Regional Library System page.
