Woodlawn Park

The Woodlawn Park playground is one of the city's newest and largest playgrounds. It is also one of the city's most inclusive play structures featuring several activity stations and other design elements specifically for persons with disabilities. The main play structure is ramped for wheelchair access from the paved park trail. Freestanding elements include a "merry-go-all", sensory wave arch, and four-bay swing set with belt swings, harness swings, and expression swings. The Woodlawn Playground was named a National Demonstration Site by PlayCore for best practices in inclusive design. The park also includes a paved walking trail, pavilion, and outdoor fitness equipment for persons ages 13 and older. Please note that parking is available on Boston Street and portable restrooms are offered seasonally.

City Park

The playground at City Park is the city's only nature-inspired play space, featuring a number of components designed to look like logs, stones, and other natural features. The main play structure is recommended for children ages 5-12 and other freestanding elements like the log crawl tunnel and boulder climber are dependent on the child's physical ability. Visitors will also find a lower play area at the park that includes natural boulders, a log balance beam, and a slide that is embedded into the hillside. After enjoying the playground, look for treasures along the beach or take a stroll on the Riverwalk for an unforgettable play experience. Please note that this park features portable restrooms and an off-street parking area.

Arlington Park

The Arlington Park playground was renovated in 2017 and features all new equipment. The play area includes a play structure for children ages 2-5 and a separate play structure for children ages 5-12. The park features a four-bay swing set with belt swings, harness swings, and expression swings which allow parents to swing face-to-face with their children. The park also features basketball courts, outdoor fitness equipment, and a paved walking path. Please note that there is no off-street parking at Arlington Park and portable restrooms are offered seasonally.

King's Court Playground

1900 Waverly Street

The King's Court Playground was completely renovated in 2019 and features all new play equipment, paved walkways, a nature trail, interpretive signage, and a small pavilion. The playground includes a small play structure for children ages 2-5 and a larger structure for children ages 5-12. The playground also features a three-bay swing set with traditional belt swings, an inclusive harness swing, and a toddler swing that allows parents and small children to swing face-to-face. Please note that this playground does not have restrooms.

Mathis Park

The Mathis Park playground is conveniently located near the park's concession stand and athletic fields. The playground is one of the city's largest and is recommended for children ages 5-12. Please note that off-street parking and permanent restrooms are available at this park site.

The Crystal Lake Park playground is designed for children ages 2-5. This small playground features several play elements and is conveniently located next to the park's two pavilions, walking trail, and permanent restrooms. The park also offers off-street parking.

The City Point Playground is a small neighborhood playground featuring a main play structure, swings, and a sensory panel activity area that is barrier-free. The park also features a basketball court. Please note that this park does not offer restrooms or off-street parking.

Westwood Park

The Westwood Park playground is a small neighborhood playground with a main play structure, freestanding slide, and traditional belt swings. The park also features a tennis court and practice baseball field. The park is slated for complete renovation in 2022. Please note that this park does not offer off-street parking or restrooms.

This small neighborhood playground features a main play structure for children ages 2-5, swings, and a small pavilion. Please note that this park does not offer restrooms or off-street parking.

The Atwater Park playground offers a slide, belt swings, and toddler swings. The park also features a pavilion and permanent restrooms. The park is slated for complete renovation in 2023. Off-street parking is available.
