Fall Soccer Registration!
It's that time of year! Fall soccer registration is now open for online registration. This year's league will feature additional age divisions to improve competition with neighboring localities. Age divisions are defined as either instructional or competitive. Both instructional and competitive programs will feature weekday evening practices and scrimmages/games on Saturdays. Some competitive divisions will be required to travel to neighboring localities for games. Equipment needs vary from one age group to another but all players should have a pair of predominantly black shorts for games, appropriately-sized shin guards, and a soccer ball. To learn more about each age division, check out our Sports webpage.
We are in dire need of coaches! When you try to register for some age divisions, you may realize that the only option is to join the waiting list. This is due to a shortage of coaches. If additional coaches are confirmed, spaces will be opened for those on the waiting list. If no coaches are found, the program simply will not happen. Youth sports are driven by parent volunteerism. Without volunteer coaches, youth sports will suffer tremendously. To register to coach, please click here.
The league also needs referees to assist with instructional scrimmages and some competitive matches. Referees are employed as individual contractors and can earn anywhere from $25-$50 per game. No previous certification is required but a general knowledge of soccer and the FIFA laws of the game are preferred. Referees can be ages 15 and older. To register to become a referee, please click here.
Please help spread the word about registration! Registration will remain open online through August 13. Limited financial assistance is available for qualifying families. To learn more about the league and to inquire about coaching, refereeing, or financial assistance, please contact Sherry Leech, Athletic Programs Supervisor, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
